In addition to playing in the League to come top of their division, teams play for a League Cup and in some age groups a Memorial or Charity Cup, a Challenge Cup and externally a County Cup. Cup winners and runners-up for 2024-2025 season are displayed on our Honours board.
League Cups
League Cups run for all age groups from Under 12 to Under 18.
Charity and Memorial Cups
In addition to League Cups we have Memorial and Charity Cups. These are:-
- U12 Mayors Cup: All teams enter
- U13 Dick Hopkins Memorial Cup: Div 2-Div 5 teams enter
- U13 Challenge Cup: Div 6 to Div 8 teams enter.
- U14 Mike Keen Memorial Cup: Div 2-Div 5 teams enter. Mike Keen was a founder member of this League.
- U14 Challenge Cup: Div 6 & Div 7 teams enter.
- U15 June Rowland Memorial Cup: Div 2-Div 5 teams enter.
- U15 Challenge Cup: Last season Div 5 & Div 6 teams entered
- U16 Chairmans Cup: Div 2 – Div 5 teams enter
- U16 Challenge Cup
- U17 Referees Cup: Div 2 & Div 3 teams enter
- U18 Memorial Cup: Div 2 & Div 3 teams enter
Cup rules
The rules for Cup competitions are contained in Appendix A of the Constitution. A few key points are:
- All cups work on a knock out basis.
- Players can only play for one team in any cup competition, they cannot transfer and play in the same cup for a different team.
- No Extra Time will be given for cup games. Where scores are drawn at full time the result will go straight to penalties. This will bring certainty to pitch bookings as there will be no extra time.
